52-year-old arrested, charged with Lafayette double homicide
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH/WLFI) – A 52-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a Thursday night double homicide.
Lafayette Police Department officers responded to the deadly shooting in the 800 block of Eastwich Drive around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
The two victims were identified by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office as Catalina Lujano-Campuzano, 67, and Gustavo Sanchez-Campuzan, 38.
Police announced Friday afternoon that had arrested Franco Navarrete and booked him into the county jail on two counts of murder.
Just before noon, the police announced Navarrete was taken into custody without incident.
At this time, police have not released any further details and indicated the case remains under investigation.
