Indiana State Museum to host ‘Adult Summer Camp’ 2024
An exciting evening awaits visitors at the Indiana State Museum’s Adult Summer Camp. This special event will be held on Friday, July 12, from 7-9 p.m., offering an unforgettable night of fun and adventure!
Adults are invited to leave the kids at home and enjoy a night out with friends. The museum will open its doors after hours, offering delicious food, themed cocktails, and classic camp activities, all inspired by the new Good Night Forest exhibit.
Director of Communications at the Indiana State Museum and Historic Site, Carla Knapp, joined us to share more about the event and how you can get involved!
“This is exclusively for adults,” Knapp explained. “We need a little break from adulting every once in a while, so you can come and enjoy.’
Attendees can relive their childhood by competing in oversized outdoor games like archery, axe throwing, bubble bowling, and an obstacle course. Visitors can also make fun crafts to take home, such as tie-dye bandanas and friendship bracelets.
The museum’s galleries will be open for special guided tours, allowing visitors to explore Good Night Forest and learn about Indiana’s nocturnal animals. There will also be a stargazing experience to enjoy the beauty of the night sky.
No summer camp is complete without s’mores. The evening’s menu will feature desserts and drinks inspired by this favorite treat, along with other camp foods, cocktails, and refreshing beverages.
This event is for adults only, ages 21 and older. Tickets are $45 for non-members, with a 10% discount for Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites members. Each ticket includes museum admission, access to all activities, snacks, and one drink ticket. Additional alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Space for Adult Summer Camp is limited. Tickets are available exclusively at IndianaMuseum.org. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity for a night of fun and memories!
