IndyHumane names new CEO
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Humane Society of Indianapolis is getting a new CEO.
David Horth has has served in various volunteer capacities for IndyHumane for almost 17 years, including interim CEO and chairman of the board.
Horth is founder and principal of Quest Commercial Real Estate, a real estate brokerage and investment firm.
He has held volunteer leadership positions in numerous other civic organizations, including serving as president of The Penrod Society, board chair and an advisory board member for Indianapolis Animal Care Services and a board member for the Indiana Repertory Theatre.
Horth will start Jan. 1 at IndyHumane.
IndyHumane said in a news release that it hopes to increase its capacity to care for homeless dogs and cats in central Indiana by providing even greater support to fellow animal welfare agencies, expanding animal welfare services in low-income communities and increasing animal welfare education.
