Merchants Bank of Indiana opens Richmond branch

RICHMOND, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Merchants Bank of Indiana (NASDAQ: MBIN) has opened a new branch in Richmond.

A grand opening was Friday for the full-service, 11,286-square-foot building in downtown Richmond. 

“We are excited to officially open our new branch in the city of Richmond,” said Scott A. Evans, market president and chief operating officer of Merchants Bank of Indiana. “As we continue to grow in the Hoosier state, we look forward to serving the citizens of Richmond for years to come.” 

The branch employs over 20, with room for future expansion. Merchants now has locations in Indianapolis, Carmel, Lynn, Spartanburg and Richmond. The new branch was opened soon after Merchants debuted its new corporate headquarters in Carmel in September.
