ITT Technical Institute ceases operations, files for bankruptcy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – ITT Tech ceased all operations and filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy late Friday afternoon.

The company filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, meaning, it provides for “liquidation” of all ITT’s property.

The bankruptcy was filed in Indiana’s Southern District Court.

24-Hour News 8 reached out to Faegre Baker Daniels, the law firm that represents ITT Tech, but they had no comment.

The filing lists the company’s assets between $100 million and $500 million.

The bankruptcy was filed under ITT’s parent company, ITT Educational Services Inc.

Other businesses under the company include: Center for Professional Development, Breckinridge School of Nursing and Health Sciences, Benchmark Learning, Early Career Academy and Daniel Webster College.

ITT Tech announced they were closing their doors after they were refused Federal Student Aid.
