INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis woman returned home Friday after testing positive for coronavirus while aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship.

Joyce Black, 75, praised the work of doctors and nurses who treated her during her illness.

“I’m so grateful for their dedication,” she said Wednesday in a phone call with News 8.

Her husband remains in Japan with no confirmed return date. He tested negative for coronavirus, Black said.
