INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The aquatic family at the Indianapolis Zoo just got a little bit bigger – the zoo announced on Facebook Wednesday the birth of a new cownose ray.

The zoo says the ray was born sometime Wednesday morning. The zoo also shared that rays are born with their wings folded over like a taco, and they learn to glide quickly after their birth.

And while the baby ray does not have a name yet, the zoo confirmed that the baby ray is a boy.

The baby ray can be seen swimming with the school of rays at the touch pool in the zoo’s Oceans exhibit.
