The Indianapolis community is invited to join IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital at their 20th annual free Pet Carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 right outside of the facility near Beech Grove, on Indy’s southeast side. This event started 20 years ago with the idea to give tours of the IndyVet facility and has grown each year since!

Attendees can browse over 25 central Indiana vendors featuring boarding and grooming salons, food delivery services, pet supplies, homemade fashions and treats, different types of therapeutics and more. Area rescues will have animals on-site for adoption.

The pet carnival is a FREE event for the community where everyone is invited to bring their beloved pets and spend the day with a variety of retail vendors and area rescues. While it is free we do ask for donations that will be given to Indy Humane, such as pet food, toys, and supplies.

Also returning this year is a fan favorite, the Dachshund 500! There will be multiple categories for dachshunds to race in. If you’re interesting in signing up your dachshund sign up quick because it fills up fast. Those interested in participating can sign up on the Indy Vet website. Registration is free and the winner of the adult race will receive a sponsorship by IndyVet to compete in the Dachshund races at Oktoberfest in downtown Indianapolis later this year.
