Undercover investigation leads to 1 arrest for child exploitation
TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – An undercover online investigation has resulted in the arrest of a man from Lafayette.
Bryan Smurr, 58, was arrested on Monday after officers with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children unit served a search warrant at his apartment in Pheasant Run. Investigators said Smurr was downloading and sharing child pornography using an online file sharing program.
Smurr has been charged with exploitation and possession of child pornography, both of which are felonies. He is being held at the Tippecanoe County Jail.
