Indiana all-stars sweep Kentucky

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana’s all-stars held up on their end Saturday, even without Mr. Basketball Caleb Swanigan.

The Hoosiers swept their Kentucky counterparts after beating them 88-77 at the Fieldhouse Saturday night.

Devin Cannady scored a team-high 17 points and the Indiana boys all-star team ran its win streak to 15.

The annual weekend series was more tightly contested than in recent years, with Friday’s game being decided in the final minute and Saturday’s meeting feeling closer than the final score.

After falling to Indiana 83-80 the night before, Kentucky was led by Aric Holman’s game-high 21 points and eight rebounds.

Both Mr. Basketball winners for each state did not play. Attendance for the game was 6,533, the largest crowd in 10 years.

Matt Holba scored 16 and Purdue recruit Ryan Cline added 11 for Indiana. James Bolden scored 14 for Kentucky and Dwayne Sutton scored 13 and had a team-high nine rebounds.
