Fantastic Friday weather ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Our mid-Spring cold snap has moved out, and we are tapping into some wonderful conditions as we head into the weekend.

Friday:

Quiet and very mild weather to close out the work week. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions. Highs top out in the the middle 70s.

Friday night:

Mostly clear and comfortable. Lows in the lower/middle 50s.

Mini Marathon/Saturday:

Partly to mostly cloudy for the morning hours, light winds and temperatures in the low/mid 50s should make for a fantastic forecast for runners and spectators heading downtown for the Mini Marathon. End of race temps should move into the lower 60s by late morning.

The rest of your Saturday looks great, with mostly sunny conditions and highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday:

Sunday morning looks relatively quiet. Can’t rule out a few showers, but most should have partly cloudy conditions with quickly warming temperatures. Afternoon highs should reach the lower 80s.

Complex should reach the state for the afternoon and evening, and that should spark a few showers and storms. Coverage will likely be limited mostly to the southern half of the state and won’t be widespread.

8 day forecast:

Active pattern continues early next week, with much better chances for showers and storms Monday afternoon and evening. A few isolated showers and storms possible heading into Tuesday. Long term temperatures look to remain above average through the extended.
