IMPD: Woman dead after being shot twice in head

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said that a woman died on Monday after being shot twice in the head.

Dauntanisha Brown, 29, was identified as the victim by the Marion County Coroner.

IMPD said that they were called to a home in the 2200 block of Brookside Avenue, because a female in the bedroom of the home was found unresponsive.

Police said that she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner confirmed the cause of death and ruled that the case was a homicide.

Police have stated that this case is part of an on-going investigation and are asking for anyone with an information to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
