Cops: Woman brings 2 children to bar, leaves 1 behind for a while
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A woman is in jail for child abuse after she brought two children to a bar with her and left one there with a stranger for over an hour, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies said.
The bar she went to was Kahuna’s located on Gandy Boulevard on St. Pete side. According to the arrest affidavit, Rickquel Kehoe, 36, brought a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old to the bar with her at about 6 p.m. on Sunday. She drank “to the extent of extreme intoxication,” PCSO deputies said in the affidavit.
Then the woman left the 7-year-old with a man she had just met and took off with the other child and another man from the bar. Deputies said she was gone for about an hour and 20 minutes before she came back to pick up the child.
She was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County jail on one felony charge of Child Abuse. Her bond is set at $5,000 but she hasn’t posted it.
PCSO deputies didn’t specify if Kehoe was the mother of the children.
