Anderson man wins $1 million in Hoosier Lottery scratch-off
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A father of three children won a $1 million prize from Hoosier Lottery.
With a child on the way and three at home, Kyle Keeley and his wife were saving for a down payment on a house.
That payment got a lot easier when he won the top prize on a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off.
Keeley purchased the ticket on a whim when he stopped at the Ricker’s at 5408 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. at the end of February.
He stopped at the gas station to get a drink, but decided to purchase the ticket when he got to the counter.
“I was at the counter, getting something to drink and at the last second I just said, ‘Give me one of those tickets too,’” said Keeley. “Something just told me to get that one.”
Keeley and his wife plan to use the money for a down payment on a house and start college funds for their kids.
“We’re going to get this life going now,” said Keeley. “This will definitely help us out quite a bit.”
Two top prizes in the Multiplier Mania Scratch-off game remain.
“This is a life-changer,” Keeley said. “It’s a dream come true.”
