Clinton Co. man charged in daughter’s death case

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A Clinton County man accused of shaking his 2-month-old daughter has officially been charged in connection to her death.

According to court documents, Timothy Beck Jr., 28, was watching his two daughters while their mother was having surgery. When the mother returned, she noticed her daughter was shaking so she took her to the hospital.

At first, investigators say Beck blamed the injuries on the baby’s 17-month-old sister. But Beck eventually admitted to getting what he called “a little rough” with the infant.

Doctors say the delay in seeking treatment likely caused the baby’s death.

Beck has been charged with battery and neglect for failing to report the injuries in a timely manner.
