Woman arrested in connection to human trafficking investigation
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – An arrest was made in a human trafficking investigation.
Earlier this months, officers from the Terre Haute Police Department started what they called a covert operation. The operation involved finding and arresting people involved in prostitution and human trafficking.
During their investigation, police arrested Anthony Irons and Chavala Wilson on charges of promotion of human trafficking of a minor.
Further investigations led police to suspect a woman named Amanda Kowalewski was also involved. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Friday, Kowalewski was at a hearing for Irons, her boyfriend. That is where police arrested her and walked her to the Vigo County Jail.
She is also facing human trafficking charges.
