Man crashes truck into high school tennis courts

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police responded to Jefferson High School after authorities say a man drove his truck through the tennis courts while a PE class was in session.

Officers arrived around 8:30 a.m. Monday to the high school. Police report the man drove the truck through the outside fence, through the tennis net and crashed into another fence and a set of bleachers.

Lafayette police said a physical education class was in session and children had to run out of the truck’s path. One student was hit by debris but was treated at the school for minor injuries.

The driver was not injured, but was taken in for questioning.
