Workout Wednesday: Stick to your workout when traveling

This holiday season’s travels don’t have to mean you skip your workouts. It’s as easy as the 12 steps of Christmas. No, really!!

Today on Indy Style, Firefighter Tim shares Lt. Steve Edward’s Holiday Hotel Workout  workout. Here it is:

Head to your hotel’s stairwell. Starting on the main floor, you are going to run or walk each flight of steps stopping at each floor or every couple, depending on how many stories your hotel is. At each stop, you will conduct a resistance workout or core workout. Or you can do different types of running, hopping, and lunging up the flights of stairs. Here are some examples:Workout 1:

Run

Floor 1: push-ups

Run

Floor 2: lunges

Run

Floor 3: crunches

Run

Floor 4: push-ups

Run

Floor 5: leg lifts

Run

Floor 6: dipsWorkout 2:

Run or walk (2 steps at a time)

Sprint hit (every step)

High knees (hit every step)

Step hops.

You can repeat as many times as possible.
