Police: Illegal activity at massage businesses leads to arrest
(WISH) — A four-month investigation involving multiple agencies resulted in locations in Frankfort and Montgomery County being raided on Wednesday.
The focus of the investigation stemmed from complaints of illegal activity conducted at massage businesses in Frankfort and Crawfordsville, a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
Search warrants were served in these locations: in Frankfort, the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue; and, in Crawfordsville, the 2100 block of West Oak Hill Road, the 2000 block of Lebanon Road, the 1500 block of South Washington Street, Mercedes Drive, the 600 block of South Grace Avenue, the 600 block of South Mill Street, and the 400 block of Shady Lane.
Xiaoyun Chen, 52, was arrested in connection with the operations of the businesses, and was booked into the Montgomery County jail for the Crawfordsville Police Department case. The Frankfort Police department will request an arrest warrant from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
Online records from Montgomery Superior Court 2 on Thursday night showed no charges filed yet against Chen.
Online records from the Montgomery County jail on Thursday night listed preliminary charges of money laundering, and prostitution for Chen, whose address was listed as Crawfordsville.
Montgomery County Sheriff Ryan Needham thanked people from his office and other agencies for their help: Frankfort Police Department, Crawfordsville Police Department, Indiana Gaming Commission, Indiana Department of Revenue, and Battle Ground Police Department.
