3 more cases of mumps identified at IU

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Three more cases of mumps have been identified at Indiana University in Bloomington.

According to the university, the three additional cases were uncovered late last week.

The school is currently working with both county and state health departments in monitoring the situation.

The school, in coordination with the Monroe County Health Department, is offering free MMR doses to those who came in close contact with the infected.

This brings the total cases of mumps discovered at the IU Bloomington campus to six.

In March and February of this year, three prior cases of mumps were found on the campus.
