79-year-old Greenfield man arrested for molesting 3 young girls
GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A 79-year-old man is accused of molesting neighborhood girls who helped him with housework, according to investigators.
Robert Cooper of Greenfield was arrested Friday and faces three felony counts of child molesting.
Court documents say three young girls — two 8-year-olds and a 10-year-old — reported being inappropriately touched by Cooper at his home in the 250 block of Lullaby Court.
The girls would occasionally help Cooper with work around the house and yard, according to the documents.
One of the girls said Cooper threatened her if she told anyone about the sexual assault. “You better not tell anybody that this happened, this is our little secret, or I’ll come get you,” the girl told police the man said, according to court documents.
Cooper’s daughter says he has Alzheimer’s and his maturity level is that of a 10-year-old, the documents state.
