Salesforce leader steps down as software company reports 2020 revenue

SAN FRANCISCO (WISH) — Keith Block, co-chief operating officer of software company Salesforce, stepped down Tuesday.

The company has more than 2,000 employees in Indianapolis, according to online reports. Its downtown Indianapolis presence includes the city’s tallest building, the Salesforce Tower, located northeast of Monument Circle.

A news release from the San Francisco-based company said Marc Benioff will remain as chair and chief executive officer.

Block noted in the release that Salesforce grew from $4 billion in revenue in 2013, when he joined the company, to over $17 billion in 2019.

Also on Tuesday, the company announced its projections for 2020 calls for $21 billion in revenues.
