GTA Container lands $48M military contract
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – South Bend-based GTA Container Inc. has been named as one of two companies to receive a three-year, multi-million-dollar military contract. The more than $48 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense calls for production of vehicular doors and covers.
New York-based Breton Industries Inc. was also awarded the contract. The work will be performed in both Indiana and New York and is expected to be complete by March 2023.
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Michigan is the contracting activity.
GTA received a $12 million contract in May 2018 for the production of collapsible non-metallic hose assemblies as well as a $35 million contract in March 2018 for the production of collapsible fuel storage tank assemblies.
