Lebanon mayor appoints new police chief
LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) — Days after demoting its police chief, Lebanon has announced a new one.
Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry has appointed Chad Morgan as Lebanon’s new police chief.
Morgan replaces Tyson Warmoth, who was demoted last week after a 2017 Facebook post deemed offensive surfaced.
Morgan has been with the department since 1994.
“I am extremely pleased that an officer as highly respected as Chad Morgan has accepted the role of Police Chief,” Mayor Gentry said in a news release. “Chad is someone who has been dedicated to the department, carrying himself with the utmost dignity for nearly three decades. I am confident Chief Morgan will do a great job leading the department and will serve our city honorably.”
