Leonard appealing Richmond Hill explosion sentence
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The man convicted in the 2012 Richmond Hill explosion is appealing his sentence.
According to online court records, an attorney for Mark Leonard filed the appeal with the Indiana Supreme Court on Friday.
Last month, a judge sentenced Leonard to two life sentences without parole and an additional 75 years.
In July, a jury convicted Leonard of 53 charges in the case, including arson and murder.
Prosecutors called Leonard the ringleader behind the explosion.
