IFD fights fire near Methodist Hospital
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Fire Department battled flames engulfing a building near Methodist Hospital north of downtown Indianapolis on Wednesday morning.
Around 6 a.m., crews responded to the scene at Central Brace & Limb Company on the corner of West 19th Street and North Capital Avenue and attempted to extinguish the blaze. By 6:30 a.m., responders reported that the fire was under control.
Authorities say that no one was in the building at the time of the fire. One firefighter sustained a slight injury, and was transported to Methodist Hospital.
No fatalities or other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
