IU mumps cases rises to 31

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) —    The number of mumps cases at Indiana University is now up to 31.

The outbreak started in February.

Officials initially traced the source to people associated with one fraternity, but the virus has since spread to dorms and off campus housing.

At least 16 of the confirmed cases involved vaccinated students.

The university has created a webpage to keep the community updated with information about the mumps outbreak
