National Weather Service confirms EF1 tornado touched down in Mooresville
MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The National Weather Service (NWS) says a tornado touched down in Mooresville Wednesday night.
According to NWS, an EF1 tornado touched the ground at around 8:43 p.m. in the Morgan County town. Mooresville is located in central Indiana, southwest of Indianapolis.
The tornado reached an estimated maximum wind speed of 100 mph and traveled for just under a mile with a maximum path width of 35 yards.
The weather service reported no one was injured.
