Section of West 79th Street to close for construction until October

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A section of West 79th Street is set to close Tuesday for four months for a culvert replacement, according to the Indianapolis Department of Public Works.
The closure runs from Zionsville Road to Marsh Road, and is expected to remain closed until late October.
Both eastbound and westbound traffic will follow detours using Zionsville Road, West 71st Street and Marsh Road. Businesses located on Woodland Drive are being asked to use Zionsville Road for access.
The estimated $232,000 culvert replacement is part of ongoing maintenance of city drainage infrastructure, the DPW said.
