State police search for masked gunman in armed robbery

RILEY, Ind. (WISH) — State police are investigating a Friday night armed robbery committed by a suspect wearing a white mask featuring a black mustache, known as a Guy Fawkes mask and associated with the movie “V for Vendetta” and the cyberhacking group Anonymous.

The robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dollar General at 7205 South State Road 46 in Riley, when police say a slender male about 5-foot-3 wearing a black baggy pants a gray, hooded sweatshirt and the white-and-black mask entered the store, pointed a gun at the cashiers and demanded money. 

After cashiers gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the store. 

No injuries were reported in the incident.
