Mini-Marathon expo begins Thursday
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – We are now just two days away from the 39th running of the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.
The Mini-Marathon expo is open Thursday and Friday at the Indiana Convention Center in Halls A and B. Thursday, the expo is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, it’s open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Even if you’re not running the Mini, you’re encouraged to check out the expo and its exhibits. Dozens of vendors will also be at the expo with the latest running gear.
For those participating in any Mini event, there is no packet pickup on race day, so you must pick up your packet downtown before Saturday.
Remember to have your bib number listed in a confirmation email sent in April, or you can look it up when you arrive at the expo. You also must have a photo ID.
You can pick up a packet for a friend. Officials say you have to have their bib number and a copy of their photo ID.
Downtown parking is available – metered and garages in the area. You can also park in the Circle Centre Mall garages (entrances off Illinois, Maryland, Washington, and Georgia streets).
Officials also recommend you download the Indy Mini app, if you haven’t already. You’ll get information from the app on everything Mini-Marathon you’ll need to know.
Also new this year, the 500 Festival is answering questions LIVE on the Mini-Marathon’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Use #IndyMini if you have a question.
