It’s a dress… with a detachable train… made out of cupcake wrappers! For Carmel High School Junior Danielle Rothchild, it’s super sweet! She’s set to compete at a national level this July, after qualifying in her state event in a group called Recycle and Redesign. This summer, FCCLA members from across the country will gather in San Diego to network with fellow members, attend FCCLA programs workshops and leadership sessions and compete in STAR EVENTS.
Danielle’s dresses are made from totally recycled materials. In fact, one of them is made out of cupcake liners.. the other, a pouf ball! Today on Indy Style, she chats with Amber about the competition, where the ideas for her dresses came from and shows Amber how to make a headband… using POP TABS!
