Teenagers claim they lured sex offender to their home, then attacked him
ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WSLS) – The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office said convicted sex offender Elijah Bobbit was involved in a physical and verbal incident with two teenage boys at one of the boy’s homes over the weekend.
Police said it appears Bobbit was communicating with the teenagers through Facebook.
The boys claimed they discovered that Bobbit was posing as a girl in order to talk to them, but they figured out who he really was. So the boys invited him to their house, bragged about it on Facebook, and then beat him up when he arrived.
Police confirmed that Bobbit was battered by the teenagers. Bobbit was taken into custody after the incident on a probation violation.
Police said no charges have been filed against any parties, but that charges are pending. Investigators said whoever broke the law will face charges.
