30-year-old man dies after shooting in Indianapolis

UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of the shooting at East 38th Street and Arlington Avenue as 30-year-old Darrell Stennis.

The coroner’s office confirmed Stennis died from multiple gunshot wounds.

No other details have been released.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 30-year-old man died after being shot Thursday night, police said.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to a report of a person shot about 9:17 p.m. Thursday at East 38th Street and Arlington Avenue.

The man who was shot had driven to the Citgo station, 5950 E. 38th St., at the intersection. Police said the actual shooting occurred at another location that they refused to disclose Thursday night.

30-year-old man dies after shooting

Police had a vehicle pulled over after the shooting, but its connection to the shooting was not immediately known.

This is the second fatal shooting in Indianapolis on Thursday. A man was shot and killed in a downtown parking garage under Circle Centre mall on Thursday afternoon.
