Freezing rain Saturday morning could make some central Indiana roads icy
(WISH) – The overnight hours have been relatively quiet, but WISH-TV anticipates another batch of precipitation to move into central Indiana Saturday morning that could make a few central Indiana roads icy.
A freezing rain advisory is in effect for much of central Indiana, Saturday.
Expect rain and freezing rain to arrive to central Indiana between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., and continue to move through the state through the early afternoon hours. Ground temperatures will be hovering around 32 degrees, which should keep many roads clear of ice, but patchy slick spots will still be possible throughout the morning hours.
Total ice accretion potential is between 0.05 inches and 0.15 inches.
If you plan on traveling, allow for extra time, and check our traffic page on WISH.TV.com, or on our WISH-TV weather app for any delays.
