100th anniversary of first Norman Rockwell cover

Iconic and timeless. Two words that might describe Norman Rockwell’s first ever cover on The Saturday Evening Post that appeared on May 20th, 1916, and the art was called “Boy with Baby Carriage.” Rockwell had 322 illustrations on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post that spanned nearly five decades. Today is the 100th anniversary of his first cover, and The Saturday Evening Post is releasing their May/June 2016 issue with the same front cover illustration from 100 years ago!

Joan Servaas, Publisher of The Saturday Evening Post, chats with Tracy about how he was discovered, why he’s still popular and relevant today and whether his style and subject matter changed over time.
