Patachou Foundation highlights organization using food to empower youth
It’s more than just a grilled cheese “sammich”! Matthew Feltrop, executive director of The Patachou Foundation, is grilling us up some gooey goodness, while telling us about the incredible work the foundation is doing to help feed at-risk and food insecure children within the Indianapolis Community.
There’s also a big event coming up! The 3rd Annual Patachou Foundation Speaker’s Forum is February 18th at 7PM at Park Tudor High School. This year’s guest speaker is Jordyn Lexton, founder of Drive Change, which operates a locally sourced food truck that hires, teaches and empowers formerly incarcerated youth. Like The Patachou Foundation, Jordyn sees food as a powerful equalizer that broadens access to opportunities. Jordyn will be introduced by Mayor Joe Hogsett. 100% of proceeds from the event will go back to The Patachou Foundation, which feeds wholesome meals to food-insecure school children in our community while teaching them to create healthy habits. The post-event dinner is on a waitlist, but the ticket levels are as follows: $50 for General Admission, $200 for Pre-Event Reception + GA, $250 for Post-Event Dinner + GA (note that Post-Event Dinner is on a waitlist).
