Experts suggest getting early start on holiday shopping

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)- Experts suggest now is the best time to purchase Christmas presents as supply chain issues continue during the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s anticipated that this holiday shopping season will be as unprecedented as last year.

According to a recent survey by RetailMeNot, 66% of people have said they prefer to complete all their holiday shopping as early as possible.

Another 30% of people have said they’re starting even earlier than they did last year.

The survey also shows that 37% of shoppers have started their holiday shopping in August and September, whereas 46% of shoppers are buying presents now and early November.

Just 17% of people have said they will start on Black Friday or later.

RetailMeNot said many people will shop for apparel and clothing, gift cards, electronics, makeup and skincare.

Amazon has rolled out some of its Black Friday deals earlier than ever.

The online retailer announced “deep discounts across every category,” including fashion, home goods, toys and electronics for select days in October and November.

It will also add new deals for customers throughout the next two months.

Target also said it’s bringing back “Deal Days” on Oct. 10 for three days in stores and online.
