President Benjamin Harrison Site starts new Veteran’s Day tradition of community playing song ‘Taps’ together

The President Benjamin Harrison Site wants to start a new tradition, one that would bring people out on their porches on Veterans Day Night.

Whitney Ball, events and marketing manager at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, joined us today to share more about their new community initiative.

The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is inviting the community to come together in honor of our nation’s Veterans on Thursday, November 11 at 9 p.m. sharp to play taps from their front porch or wherever they may be at that time.

The Indiana National Guard 38th Infantry Division band is performing live on the stage of the Indiana Roof Ballroom at 9 p.m. sharp, and the Presidential Site will broadcast it live on Facebook.

They’re hoping this will become a new statewide tradition.
