Eating Champion Joey Chestnut celebrates hot dog history and defending his St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail championship

Ah, baseball! The smell of hot dogs is in the air. Perhaps no one knows that smell better than hot dog eating superstar Joey “JAWS” Chestnut. Today on Indy Style, Joey discusses the challenges of setting the new Guinness World Record AND chats about the infamous St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail sauce!

A Fun look at the Traditions that make Nathan’s Famous the Perfect Choice for the Official Hot Dog of America’s Pastime!

In 1893, sausages became standard fare at baseball parks. This tradition is believed to have been started by a St. Louis bar Owner, Chris Von de Ahe, a German Immigrant who also owned the St. Louis Browns major league baseball team. Fast forward a few years, and it was 101 years ago that Nathan’s Famous sold their first hot dogs on the boardwalk in Coney Island. That’s a lot of history.
