Trusted Mentors aims to help adults succeed

Women’s History Month is a time to recognize the contribution of women to our society, and we shared the story of a local woman-founded non-profit.

Trusted Mentors connects trained volunteer mentors with adults to help more people succeed at staying housed and out of prison.  Everyone the organization mentors are over 18 and includes young adults aging out of foster care, leaving homelessness, or leaving prison.

Jeri Warner, Executive Director and Founder of Trusted Mentors, and Melissa Weseli, Board Chair Trusted Mentors, joined us to share the benefits and effects of mentoring, and what it means to provide a service to adults who might be marginalized.
