Tulip Tree Creamery shows how to make cheese, talks exclusive opportunity with Indiana Cheese Trail

Tulip Tree Creamery is a locally owned cheese company you can find at local farmers markets and the Indiana Cheese Trail, which Laura Davenport, owner of Tulip Tree Creamery, says is an exclusive opportunity. Here’s more from their team:

They were founded in 2014 by Fons Smits and Laura Davenport with the help of other advisors.

All of our products are made by hand, using microbial rennet that is vegetarian-friendly. We use traditional European Recipes and add our own twist to them! Our products are being distributed across the US with heavier distribution in the mid-west, east and west coast. We are always developing new products and love feedback from our customers on which types of cheese we should make next.

Because we are a working production facility, we don’t have a retail shop. However, you can still learn more about us and find our award-winning cheeses other ways.

We participate in several Saturday farmers markets every weekend, including the Binford Farmer’s Market, Broad Ripple Farmers Market, Carmel Farmers Markets, and the Garfield Park Farmers Market, and the Indiana Cheese Trail.

The Indiana Cheese Trail is more than just a culinary masterpiece, it’s an experience and a destination. Guests from around the world come to the Hoosier state to taste the best cheeses Indiana has to offer while also visiting amazing Indiana creameries and charming stops along the way. Jump on the Indiana Cheese Trail and receive a one-of-a-kind experience that is sure to create memories for years to come.

We will teach you to make cheese at one of our cheese-making classes — fresh mozzarella, ricotta/burrata, gouda, cheddar & butter!
