AYS’ first-ever Lights On Luncheon
She’s a regular guest on the Today Show and Good Morning America and frequently speaks to groups around the country about leadership, relationships, bullying, child/teen development, parenting and body image. On Oct. 20, from noon to 1 p.m., Dr. Robyn Silverman will be the keynote speaker for AYS’ first-ever Lights On Luncheon: A Celebration of Afterschool.
Dr. Silverman will address AYS luncheon guests on the topic of “Creating a Community of Character: Empowering Strong Role Models In and Out of School Hours.” She’ll be talking about character, leadership and social-emotional development, as well as how we empower young people to become leaders and role models. She’ll explain why she believes that people are assets to be developed, not deficits to managed.
