Black Innovation Week pitch competition winners announced, grand prize winner talks business

We’re celebrating Martina Jackson, founder of CaptureNoire! She’s the grand prize winner of the Be Nimble Foundation’s pitch competition during the inaugural Black Innovation Week. Martina is a commercial photographer and the founder of CaptureNoire, a photography editing suite that optimizes the natural pigments found in diverse skin tones.

Today, she joined us along with Mike Ash, regional president of Fifth Third Bank.

This is the Bank’s first year sponsoring the Be Nimble Garden Pardi, held at Lucas Estate, and they sponsored “53 Ideas,” which is the top prize winner for the Incubator. Here’s more from them:

  • Fifth Third Bank understands small, minority businesses are vital to our nation’s stability and economy, and this is something the Bank is dedicated to on a local level as well.
  • This is our first year partnering with Be Nimble, but we see this as just the beginning!
  • We seek to be the One Bank people most trust and value, and the work being done at Be Nimble highlights our shared vision of equipping entrepreneurs with the information and access they need to help them successfully compete and secure business.
  • Launched in 2017
  • Nashelle Frazier, Fifth Third Bank’s Community and Economic Development Manager, is on the Board of Directors
