Fever hosting Breast Health Awareness Night at next home game
The Indiana Fever host their ninth annual Breast Health Awareness Night presented by St. Vincent on Thursday, Aug. 2 when the Fever host the Dallas Wings at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Fever players will wear pink-themed uniforms, and the Bankers Life Fieldhouse court will have pinked-out logos – all in an effort to raise support and awareness for breast health.
Sarah Baird, Director of Partnership Activation with the Indiana Fever, highlights the current online auction to raise funds and other Breast Health Awareness activities throughout the game.
The Fever conduct their annual Breast Health Awareness auction, online at FeverBasketball.com, using mobile bidding platform QTEGO. Bidding on game experiences, the Fever’s pink-themed, game-worn jerseys, pink-and-white autographed basketballs and more begins Monday, July 23 and ends following the third quarter of the Fever game on Aug. 2. Funds raised by the 10-day auction benefit the St. Vincent Foundation and will be targeted to support the St. Vincent Mobile Mammography Unit that provides free screening mammograms to hundreds of patients from underserved populations each year. Bidders do not have to be present at the game to win, though winners of jersey packages will have a photo opportunity after the game.
At the game, the Fever host the Wings during an entire evening dedicated to breast health awareness, fundraising for a cure and a celebration of breast cancer survivors. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets begin at $13. The first 4,000 fans will receive a black-and-pink Breast Health Awareness Night t-shirt and the St. Vincent Mammography Unit will be on display as part of the Family Fun Zone presented by Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.
Indiana’s annual BHA Night is highlighted by the team’s pink-themed uniforms – this year charcoal gray with pink design elements, specially produced for a ninth straight season and the focal point of the online auction. The evening features a parade of breast cancer survivors during halftime.
Interactive booths featuring St. Vincent associates and community organizations serving the cancer community will line the main concourse around Bankers Life Fieldhouse, representing St. Vincent’s Paws to Heal pet therapy program, art therapy program, dance & movement therapy program and others.
