Celebrate Science Combines Education and Ffun for Indiana Families
Indy Style Celebrates Science! Rick Crosslin, Scientist in Residence at MSD Wayne Township Schools and Host & Executive Producer, Indiana Expeditions WFYI PBS is here to talk about Celebrate Science Indiana 2016, Indiana’s premier science festival. Join them Saturday, October 1st from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Elements Financial Blue Ribbon Pavilion. This is a FREE event, and parking at the fairgrounds is $5. This is an all ages event for individuals from all walks of life, showcasing how science impacts our daily lives, and the event aims to encourage young Hoosiers to pursue exciting, rewarding careers in science. This is the 6th year for the Award Winning Celebrate Science Indiana. Last year over 4,000 people attended, be sure to check it out! Rick has about to blind us with science with some very cool magnetic tricks that seem like magic but are in reality very cool demonstrations showing how magnetic fields interact with objects.
Erica Posthuma-Adams, Chemistry Instructor at University High School, is back in our second segment and is joined by University HS Sophomore Kenzie to bring us some colorful chemistry and dry ice sublimation that turns our studio into a mad scientist lab!
